Entry #3 Have You Had One?
Allow me to take you on a journey of extreme excitement. When I first popped one of these hard, flavor packed treats in my mouth, instantly I felt an explosion of what I can only describe as vapory essence. It started at the tip of my tongue and quickly spread throughout my entire mouth and nasal cavity. It briefly took my breath away when I tried to inhale because I heard that’s what you do to get the full effect. I paused for a moment, the sensation almost overwhelming. The best and worst part of eating such a lusciously fragrant treat is that the feeling lingers for what seems like an eternity.
My heart rate was bounding, I felt like I was running a marathon. I closed my eyes and leaned back further into the soft leather chair I was sitting in. The juxtaposition of the warm leather back and the extremely cold sensation in my mouth felt like balancing on a slackline during a wind storm. My mind was racing, but I knew I had to hold it together. Like a producer making music, I could hear the steady rhythmic sounds of inspiration and exhalation over the thump thump thump of my heart. I was able to focus on the sounds all around me, from the high pitched chirps of the hummingbirds through the screen of a nearby window, to the deep tones of a voice saying “that was amazing”. It startled me in fact, and I opened my eyes. Realizing that was me talking out loud, I sat up straight in my chair. I did a full systems check of my body like a pilot completing a preflight checklist. “I have control of my toes,” as I wiggled them in my shoes. “Legs can move no problem,” and I stood up. By the time I got to my heart, to check on it’s rate, I realized it was no longer running a marathon. I went to the kitchen to drink some water, let me tell you, that was a mistake.
All the same sensations came back just as strong, if not stronger than before. I had had enough excitement for the day though and spit out the tantalizing gem. I quickly and without thinking, jumped on Amazon and ordered a Costco sized bag. I was hooked.

I thought this description was very detailed and a bit over-exaggerated, but I guess when you really focus on your senses you can feel things x10. I nearly laughed out loud when you mentioned taking a sip of water followed by the image of the nuclear explosion.
